The remaining stock of whisky from the Hanyu distillery is a highly sought after commodity. Marketed under the label of Ichiro’s malt playing card series, there are only five bottles with each card available, with the whole set selling for half a million USD at a recent auction in HK. dekantā is an avid collector of the series, and it goes without saying that, of all the cards, the aces are the most sought after. We are extremely lucky to have acquired this bottle!
This bottle of Ichiro’s malt card series – ace of clubs was distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2012, after maturation first in a hogshead, before being finished in rare Mizunara Japanese oak. It is non-coloured and non-chill-filtered.
In Sotheby’s auction 2020, the sold price foe this bottle was 125000HKD.
